While the Emerald Coast is renowned for its fresh gulf coast seafood, there sure is a lot more to love about the region, and the food festivals are there to prove it. Greek Festival attracts more than 20,000 to Pensacola each year, serving up delicious Mediterranean flavors. UnwineD in Panama Beach City offers a stylish garden party with craft beer and wine tastings and a variety of cuisines from local eateries. But if you are still in the mood for seafood, the popular Pensacola Seafood Festival kicks off in September while “the world’s Luckiest Fishing Village” hosts the Destin Fishing Rodeo throughout the month of October.
Beauty and the Beach
Slap on some sunblock and pull up a beach chair because hundreds of music festivals and performances throughout the region will give you a new appreciation of culture. Northwest Florida is steeped with multicultural experiences like arts & craft shows and farmer’s markets — meaning there’s always the chance to celebrate or learn something new. Several festivals throughout the region celebrate the diverse peoples who made the Emerald Coast what it is today, like Pensacola JazzFest and the Native American Flute Festival in Fort Walton Beach.
