Escambia County

The Pulse of Northwest Florida

From Pensacola to the town of Century, Escambia County is a hub of white sand beaches, military know-how, startup communities and multicultural living. The Blue Angels — known simply in Pensacola as “Our Blues” — regularly takes to the skies to perform aerial eye candy in their distinctive blue and gold F/A-18 Hornets.

But with nearly 18,000 people living in northern parts of Escambia, the region offers its own unique activities and opportunities. The town of Century is bordered by the Escambia River and Lake Stone — 130 acres of freshwater available for fishing and boating. A drive from Century to Pensacola takes less than an hour, but the Escambia County Area Transit (ECAT) makes it even easier with direct routes from north to south. You can even take your connections a step further with Pensacola International airport — the 72nd largest airport in the U.S. serving more than 2.2 million passengers annually.
